About Khaos Construction
Locally owned. Family-run. Licensed general contractor serving Miami-Dade County since 2001.
Most contractor About pages are a wall of adjectives. Here's ours without them.
We named the company Khaos on purpose, because that word is what most people are actually bracing for when they hire a contractor. The crew that stops showing up. The estimate that arrives three weeks late. The job that was supposed to take a month. Our whole reason for existing is to cut through that — to run residential and commercial construction with clear communication, a scope you can actually hold us to, and dependable execution from the first estimate to the final walkthrough. The name is a promise about what we're removing from the process.
Khaos Construction LLC is 100% locally owned and family-run, based at 8093 SW 186th St in Cutler Bay, and we work throughout Miami-Dade County and the greater South Florida region.
Who You're Actually Hiring
Kevin A. Calienes founded Khaos Construction and runs it as CEO. He's a Florida Certified General Contractor, License #CGC1537082, with more than twenty years of hands-on construction experience across residential and commercial work.
Worth knowing how the license actually reads: Khaos Construction LLC is qualified under that certification on the Florida DBPR record, not just Kevin as an individual. That distinction matters if you're a developer or a business owner whose lender or landlord is going to check — the company itself carries the qualification, not a person loosely attached to it.
The LLC was formally registered with the State of Florida in March 2023, but the construction roots here go back to 2001. That's the honest version: a young company built on a long trade history, rather than either a brand-new outfit or a claim to be older than the paperwork shows.
Why We Build With ICF
Kevin is a certified ICF builder, which is uncommon in this market and worth explaining rather than dropping as a credential.
Insulated concrete forms are hollow rigid-foam blocks that lock together, get reinforced with steel, and are filled with poured concrete. The forms stay in place permanently, so the finished wall is continuous reinforced concrete wrapped in insulation on both sides. In a hurricane zone that's a real structural advantage — a monolithic concrete wall with no seams for wind to work on. The insulation also cuts cooling costs meaningfully in a climate where the air conditioning runs most of the year, and the walls are noticeably quieter.
It isn't the right answer for every project, and we won't push it where it doesn't fit. But if you're doing a new build and you want to talk it through, you can have that conversation with someone who has actually built this way.
What We Build
We handle projects from the structural shell all the way through finish work, which means you're dealing with one licensed firm instead of coordinating separate trades who've never worked together.
- Impact windows and doors — installed for energy efficiency, security, and storm protection
- Shell construction — foundations, framing, structural walls, and load-bearing work for new residential and commercial builds
- Kitchen remodeling — custom cabinetry, countertops, and full layout redesigns
- Bathroom remodeling — tile, vanities, tubs, walk-in showers, and fixture upgrades
- Residential remodeling — single rooms through whole-house renovations, including condos and vacation properties
- Commercial construction — retail, hospitality, and tenant fit-outs
Every project runs on detailed planning, experienced field oversight, and quality control, with the goal of holding schedule, holding budget, and meeting Miami-Dade code.
Don't Take Our Word For It
We'd rather point you at things you can verify yourself.
We're accredited by the Better Business Bureau, where we've held an A rating since May 2025. We carry a 5.0 score on Google and a 5-star rating on Yelp. Reviewers tend to mention the same three things — how quickly estimates come back, that the crew shows up when it said it would, and that the final number matched the estimate.
You can also confirm our license directly through the Florida DBPR license lookup using #CGC1537082, and see current work on Instagram at @khaosconstruction. Ask any contractor you're considering for the same. Anyone worth hiring will hand it over without hesitating.
